SPECIAL NOTICE RE: EMERGENCY & AFTER-HOURS CARE

Effective September 2026 we will be utilizing an after-hours triage call service to better serve your after-hours needs & concerns. To access the after-hours service simply call the office after-hours at 250-757-9911 & follow the prompts.

Regarding Central Island Veterinary Emergency Hospital (CIVEH) hours or operation: Unfortunately, CIVEH continues to be operating on limited business hours until a staffing shortage can be resolved. Please note CIVEH will be open Friday to Tuesday mornings. For Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday nights Fantastic Beasts Veterinary in Parksville (250-947-1763) & Mahalo Veterinary Hospital in Nanaimo (1-250-824-1444) will be accepting after hours emergency calls.

While we admit this is not an ideal situation, we are ever grateful to the devoted network of surrounding veterinary hospitals. Thank you all for your patience as we navigate this obstacle together.

Sincerely from: your team at Lighthouse Veterinary Hospital
